Anim Aweh, LCSW, LICSW, CHE
Anim Aweh is a licensed mental health therapist and certified clinical health educator with over 15 years of experience in direct care and facilitation. Anim specializes in helping Black women overcome trauma, anxiety, and depression. With a background in public health and extensive experience as a clinical health educator, Anim brings a unique and holistic approach to mental health and consulting. She deeply understands the complex interplay between physical, emotional, and psychological well-being and the impact that systemic racism and oppression can have on mental health both in the workspace and life outside of work. Anim is passionate about empowering Black women to heal from the effects of trauma and live fulfilling joyful lives. She is an active listener who creates a safe and supportive space for her clients to process their experiences, identify their strengths, and work towards their goals. Her approach to therapy is inclusive, culturally competent, and evidence-based, incorporating various therapeutic techniques tailored to each individual’s needs. She has coined the phrase Therapy Over Silence, which is tied to a social movement that addresses the unique needs of black and brown people in the mental health space.
